Shipping & Processing Times
- Orders are typically processed and shipped within 1–2 business days of order placement.
- Orders placed Monday–Wednesday usually ship for 1- or 2-day transit using UPS Ground or 2-Day Air, depending on destination and the method selected at checkout.
- Orders placed Thursday–Sunday usually ship the following Monday or Tuesday.
- You will receive a tracking number by email once your order ships.
- Carrier delays can happen due to weather, natural disasters, or other disruptions. Please plan accordingly.
Requesting a Future Shipment Date
You may request delayed shipping by adding a note to your order from the Shopping Cart page, before checkout.
This option is not available for certain seasonal products or for orders placed between September 1 and December 31.
Where We Ship
- We currently ship to the contiguous 48 U.S. states.
- We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
- We do not ship to P.O. Boxes, APO, or FPO addresses.

- Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your location and order contents.
- The rate shown at checkout is based on the shipping method and delivery timing available for your order.

- Joyce Farms is not responsible for carrier delays caused by weather or other disruptions.
Safe Shipping & Packaging
At Joyce Farms, we take every precaution to help ensure your order arrives safe and in optimal condition, meeting USDA mail-order food safety guidelines.
Packing Standards for Safe Delivery
- Orders are carefully packed to help maintain safe temperatures during transit.
- Orders are packed using insulated liners and gel packs when needed to maintain temperature.
- Dry ice and/or reusable gel packs may be used depending on the shipment.
- Products may arrive chilled, frozen, or partially frozen.
- Products that are partially frozen can usually be safely refrozen.
- Once your order arrives, follow the handling instructions included with your shipment.
Food Safety Upon Arrival
Per USDA guidance, your order should arrive:
- Frozen or partially frozen, with ice crystals still visible; or
- Cold to the touch and held below 40°F.
Important: If your item is above 40°F, it may be unsafe to eat and should be refrigerated or frozen immediately only if it is still within a safe range. When in doubt, contact us right away.
Delayed Deliveries — What To Do
- Check your tracking number for updates.
- If tracking shows delivered but your order is missing, check around your property and with neighbors.
- If no tracking update appears within 24 hours of the expected delivery date, contact us.
- Weather-related carrier delays can occur. If your package is severely delayed or appears lost, we will help investigate where possible, but refund decisions are not guaranteed.
Quality Concerns Upon Delivery — What To Do
- If you believe your order has spoiled or arrived unsafe, check the temperature first. Items should arrive cold to the touch and below 40°F.
- If your shipment appears to be unsafe, contact us and include clear photos of:
- the box and packaging as received,
- the affected product and its label, and
- any temperature readings, if available.
- Please contact us within 24 hours of delivery.
Refunds, Replacements & Cancellations
Due to the perishable nature of our products, we do not accept returns.
- If your order is not fulfilled completely or does not arrive in the condition expected, contact us within 24 hours of delivery.
- Refunds or replacements are reviewed case by case and may be offered at Joyce Farms’ discretion.
- To help us review your request, please provide:
- photos of the package as received,
- photos of the affected product(s), including labels, and
- your order number or the email address used to place the order.
- If you need to cancel or modify an order, contact us as quickly as possible. We will do our best to accommodate your request, but we cannot guarantee changes once an order has been processed.
- Returned or refused orders that were not approved in advance will not be refunded.
Holiday Shipping Schedule & Observed Closures
Orders placed within one week of a holiday or observed closure may require additional processing time.
No shipping on these dates—please plan accordingly:
- Memorial Day — Monday, May 26, 2025
- Independence Day — Friday, July 4, 2025
- Labor Day — Monday, September 1, 2025
- Thanksgiving — Thursday, November 27, 2025
- Christmas Eve & Day — Wednesday, December 24 and Thursday, December 25, 2025
- New Year’s Day — Thursday, January 1, 2026
Local Pickup in Winston-Salem, NC
Pickup location: 4787 Kinnamon Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27103
- Orders must be placed online at least 2 business days in advance.
- We will hold your order for 7 days after your originally scheduled pickup date. If not picked up, your order will be canceled.
- Pickup orders must be collected within 2 days of your selected pickup date once ready.
