Joyce Farms Shipping Policy (Web Orders)

This Shipping Policy explains how Joyce Farms (“Joyce Farms,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) processes and ships web orders placed through our website. By placing an order, you agree to the terms below.
Shipping and Processing Times
Shipping schedule: We ship perishable orders on a limited weekly schedule—Monday through Wednesday (and Thursdays for North Carolina orders only).
Processing time: Orders are typically processed within 1–2 business days, and will ship on the next available shipping day after processing.
Order cutoff: Orders placed by 12:00 PM (noon) Eastern Time begin processing the same business day when possible. Orders placed after 12:00 PM ET begin processing the next business day.
Seasonal delays (Oct–Jan): During peak months, please allow 1–2 additional business days for processing.
Tracking: Once your order ships, you’ll receive a tracking number by email.
Business days exclude weekends and observed holiday closures.
Shipping Days and Transit Time
To help ensure product quality, we ship orders for 1–2 day transit.
Standard shipping days: We ship Monday–Wednesday for 1–2 day transit using UPS Ground or UPS 2-Day Air, depending on your location and the method needed to arrive within 2 days.
North Carolina shipments: For North Carolina orders only, we also ship on Thursdays for 1-day ground transit.
Delivery estimates: Delivery timeframes are estimates, not guarantees.
Where We Ship
We ship to the contiguous 48 U.S. states.
We do not ship to:
- Alaska, Hawaii
- Canada, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands
- P.O. Boxes
- APO/FPO addresses
Shipping Costs
Shipping rates are calculated at checkout using real-time UPS rates based on the weight and size of your order and your destination. The shipping rate shown at checkout reflects the cost we pay to ship your order.
Requesting a Future Shipment
You may request delayed shipping by adding a note in the “Order Notes” field on the Shopping Cart page before you continue to checkout.
Important limitations:
- This option is not available for certain seasonal products.
- This option is not available for orders placed between September 1 and December 31.
Safe Shipping and Packaging
Joyce Farms takes precautions to help your order arrive in safe, optimal condition and packs orders to maintain safe temperatures during transit.
Each order is packed in a recyclable shipping box with insulated inserts to help maintain safe temperatures.
Dry ice and/or reusable gel packs may be used to keep items cold.
Empty dry ice packaging is normal and expected upon delivery.
Products may begin to defrost during shipment. As long as items are still partially frozen, you can safely refreeze them.
Once your package arrives, please follow the safe handling instructions included with your shipment.
Food Safety Upon Arrival
Your order should arrive:
- Frozen or partially frozen, with ice crystals still visible, or
- At least refrigerator cold (below 40°F)
If your items are cold to the touch (below 40°F), they are safe to refrigerate or refreeze immediately.
Weather and Carrier Delays
Joyce Farms is not responsible for shipping delays due to severe weather, natural disasters, or carrier disruptions. Once a package is with the carrier, we cannot guarantee carrier performance or delivery timing. Please plan your order timing accordingly.
Delayed Deliveries - What to Do
- Check your tracking number for updates.
- If marked delivered but missing, check around your property (porch, side door, garage, mailroom) and with neighbors/building staff.
- If there is no tracking update within 24 hours of the expected delivery date, contact us.
Weather-related delays: If a package is missing or severely delayed, we will assist in tracking if possible; however, refunds and reshipments are not guaranteed for carrier delays due to weather or other disruptions.
Quality Concerns Upon Delivery — What To Do
If you believe your order arrived spoiled or unsafe:
- Do not consume or discard the product yet.
- Check temperature: items should arrive cold to the touch (below 40°F).
- Take clear photos of:
- The shipping box and packaging as received
- The affected product(s) and labels
- Any temperature readings (if available)
- Contact us within 24 hours of delivery and follow the steps in our Return & Refund Policy.
Refused or Undeliverable Shipments
If an order is refused at delivery or returned to Joyce Farms without prior approval, the order may not be eligible for a refund.
Holiday Shipping Schedule and Observed Closures (2026)
Orders placed within one week of a holiday or observed closure date may require additional processing time.
No shipping on these dates—please order accordingly:
- New Year’s Day — Thu, Jan 1, 2026
- Memorial Day — Mon, May 25, 2026
- Independence Day (Observed) — Fri, July 3, 2026
- Labor Day — Mon, Sept 7, 2026
- Thanksgiving — Thu, Nov 26, 2026
- Christmas Eve & Day — Thu–Fri, Dec 24–25, 2026
